I adopted this bearded dragon because the owners didn’t want him anymore if he was going to die.
He has MBD so he can’t walk - he just does this crazy shuffle and he has a wonky tail because it was broken when he came out of his egg.
They thought he was going to die because they had left him overnight with crickets in the tank and the crickets started eating the dragons back. They went right through to the spine because of how soft his skin and bones are. They said he hadn’t been eating for a while and didn’t really move much and if he was just going to die they didn’t want to keep him. It seemed that they had neglected him, as he was extreamly skinny and obviously had mbd (which is caused from lack of calcium and uvb lighthing.) i hate people like that.
So, i took him home because i couldn’t bare to see something die when i knew i could at least try to help it.
His cuts have healed so well, but he litrally has not bones in his front feet and walks in the most special way. He eats sometimes but mainly has to be assist fed, but seems to be getting better. I even made him a cast to try to straighten out his tail.
i havent names him yet, anyone got any suggestions?
